The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and warned that any passing vessels will be attacked.

China COSCO Shipping (COSCO SHIPPING) said that, considering the evolving security situation in the Middle East and the restrictions on maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, it is closely monitoring developments in the region and maintaining close communication with relevant authorities and security agencies.

According to COSCO SHIPPING's official website, a total of seven vessels are involved. The Group informed customers that, to ensure the safety of all operations, vessels that have already entered the Gulf will proceed to safe waters to hover or anchor, after completing the operations where safe to do so.
