In light of the US-Israel-Iran war, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi held separate phone conversations with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot. Wang stated that China urged the US and Israel to immediately cease military actions to prevent further escalation of tensions.

During the call with Iranian Foreign Minister, Wang expressed China's support for Iran in defending its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and national dignity, as well as in safeguarding its legitimate rights and interests. He expressed confidence that Iran can maintain national and social stability and ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions in Iran.
