BANK OF E ASIA (00023.HK)  +0.060 (+0.447%)    Short selling $1.45M; Ratio 63.710%   reported a profit attributable to shareholder of $947 million for 2H25, down 58% HoH and 57% YoY, 36% below market consensus, Citi Research issued a research report saying.

BANK OF E ASIA's earnings missed expectations mainly due to increased credit costs, property revaluation losses and one-off expenses such as losses from associated companies, the broker noted.

PPOP was $5.8 billion, up 6% HoH and 1% YoY, 15% ahead of market consensus, benefiting from strong net interest income and trading income. BANK OF E ASIA declared a second interim DPS of $0.22, with a full-year payout ratio of 50%. The CET 1 ratio was 24.7%, up 1.0 ppt HoH.

Therefore, Citi Research rated BANK OF E ASIA at Neutral, with a target price of $14.9.
