STANCHART (02888.HK)  -3.600 (-2.154%)    Short selling $9.24M; Ratio 32.781%   announced the immediate resignation of its CFO, Diego De Giorgi, JP Morgan said in a report.
According to Apollo Global Management's announcement, he will join Apollo Global Management as Partner and Head of EMEA.

Given Diego's good reputation among investors and his key role in achieving financial milestones at STANCHART, including large-scale share buybacks and ROTE improvement, JP Morgan assumed his unexpected departure to lead to a low- to mid-single-digit decline in STANCHART's stock price.

Nevertheless, JP Morgan's investment outlook remains positive, as STANCHART's robust performance rides on ongoing strategic transformation and a favorable monetary environment. JP Morgan viewed any potential stock price overcorrection as a compelling opportunity to accumulate. The rating was Overweight with target price of HKD265.
