German chipmaker Infineon sent a letter to customers yesterday (5th), announcing that it will raise prices for certain products starting April 1, according to TechNews. This adjustment applies to new orders placed on or after that date, as well as existing orders shipped on or after that date.

The rapid expansion of AI data centers has led to shortages of certain products, necessitating additional investment to expand wafer production capacity, the report cited Infineon's letter to customers as saying.

The company disclosed that the supply of power switches and related integrated circuits (ICs) remains tight, with rising costs for raw materials and infrastructure.
