China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) introduced at the press conference on the top ten major cases of comprehensive rectification of "involution" competition held this morning (27th) that review of concentration of business operators has played an active role in addressing "involution" competition.

Over the past year, SAMR reinforced monopoly review in key sectors of "involution" competition such as automotive, photovoltaic, and lithium batteries. This effectively supports companies in revitalizing idle assets through M&As, improving operational efficiency, and helping them get rid of "involution" competition through M&As and restructurings.
