The 403rd batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT)'s "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" showed that BYD Auto Industry applied for multiple trademarks for new models under the "Linghui" brand, covering battery electric vehicle (BEV) sedans and multi-purpose passenger plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), with the public announcement period until January 15.

"Linghui" is BYD's new sub-brand, with product positioning and configuration designed around service vehicle procurement standards, Chinese media reported, citing sources close to BYD.
