HANG SENG BANK (00011.HK) held the Hang Seng Bank Court Meeting and Hang Seng Bank General Meeting today (8th) to vote on the privatization proposal put forward by HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  -0.300 (-0.230%)    Short selling $900.85M; Ratio 129.638%   .

After the meetings, HSBC and Hang Seng issued a joint announcement in the evening, stating that the privatization plan for Hang Seng proposed by HSBC was approved by the Hang Seng Bank Court Meeting and Hang Seng Bank General Meeting.

Subject to the Scheme becoming binding and effective, it is expected that the listing of the Hang Seng Bank Shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will be withdrawn with effect from 4:00 p.m. on 27 January 2026.
