It eventually closed 224 points or nearly 0.9% lower at 25,630. The HSCEI fell 77 points or nearly 0.9%, closing at 8,913. The HSTECH declined 62 points or 1.1% to close at 5,515. The market turnover amounted to HKD119.666 billion.The HSI recorded a slip of 228 points or 0.9% for the entire December and a nosedive of 1,225 points or 4.6% for the whole quarter. For the entire year of 2025, however, it logged a rise of 5,570 points or 27.8%, representing its best performance in eight years.Some resource stocks were favored despite the market rout.
