The Chongqing Municipal Government announced that the Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei section of the Qiji Battery Swap Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu Trunk Line has commenced operations yesterday (23rd).

The first batch of 12 2-way battery swap stations were officially put into use, marking the formal entry of this 1,250-kilometer one-way 'logistics artery' connecting Chengdu via Chongqing to Wuhan into the era of 'chassis battery swapping'.

Upon the opening of the Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei section of the Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu trunk line, it will become the longest trunk route within the Qiji battery swapping network operated by its subsidiary, Times Qiji, CATL (03750.HK)  -5.000 (-0.791%)    Short selling $249.40M; Ratio 56.628%   said.

This is expected to significantly enhance the transportation efficiency, economical efficiency and environmental benefits of electric heavy trucks.

Through its efficient 5-minute battery swapping model, the logistics time between Chengdu and Wuhan can be compressed to under 18 hours, with an efficiency improvement exceeding 40%.
