By 2025, mainland China will see 70 new billionaires with assets exceeding USD1 billion, bringing the total number to 470, only preceded by the US, with a total wealth of USD1.8 trillion, according to a report by UBS cited by Chinese media.

This year, the wealth of 196 billionaires who started from scratch worldwide swelled by USD386.5 billion, including Zhang Hongchao and Zhang Hongfu, founders of MIXUE GROUP (02097.HK)  -6.600 (-2.279%)    Short selling $17.21M; Ratio 52.604%   .

Lu Zijie, head of wealth management at UBS in China, stated that as much as 98% of billionaires in mainland China are self-made entrepreneurs.
