According to the announcement by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Yuan Guangyu, former party member and deputy general manager of CNOOC Group, has been indicted for bribery. The investigation was concluded by the National Supervisory Commission and transferred to the procuratorial authorities for review and prosecution.

As designated by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate has legally decided to arrest Yuan on suspicion of bribery. Recently, the Xuzhou Municipal People's Procuratorate in Jiangsu Province has filed a public prosecution with the Xuzhou Intermediate People's Court.
