China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) convened a symposium today (28th) for manufacturing enterprises in the power and energy storage battery sector.

In recent years, through the concerted efforts of all parties, China's power and energy storage battery industry has rapidly developed and expanded, establishing global competitive advantages in market scale, innovation capabilities, industrial systems and other ways, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Li Lecheng, noted. Meanwhile, the industry's development still faced numerous issues and challenges.

The MIIT should comprehensively and objectively assess the industrial development situation, and earnestly implement the Party Central Committee's decisions and arrangements for comprehensively rectifying the 'involutionary' competition, expediting the introduction of specific policy measures, regulating irrational competition in the power and energy storage battery industries in accordance with laws and regulations, strengthening output monitoring, early warning and control, and intensifying supervision and inspection of production consistency and product quality, so as to crack down on intellectual property violations, and guide enterprises to scientifically allocate production capacity and pursue rational and orderly overseas expansion, Li added.
