Wang Yi, Chinese Foreign Minister, held a phone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio yesterday (27th), remarking that Sino-American economic and trade relations have encountered setbacks again recently, according to Xinhua News Agency.

Through economic and trade talks in Kuala Lumpur, both sides clarified their positions, enhanced understanding, and reached a framework consensus on equally addressing urgent economic and trade issues, Rubio said.

It is hoped that both sides will move towards each other to prepare for high-level Sino-American interaction and create conditions for the development of bilateral relations.
