US stock futures descended during the Asian session, as the market kept tabs on NPLs from US banks. Correspondingly, Hong Kong stocks declined. The HSI started 36 points lower, and with expanded decline, it slid 743 points at one point to a low of 25,145. It concluded down 641 points or 2.5% at 25,247. The HSCEI fell off 247 points or 2.7%, closing at 9,011. The HSTECH shed 243 points or 4.1%, closing at 5,760. The total turnover for the market was HKD314.624 billion.
