Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)  -1.740 (-3.648%)    Short selling $1.86B; Ratio 15.106%   , revealed yesterday (16th) at the 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference that the company has been in the car-making business for four and a half years and has had its products on the market for one and a half years, during which it has delivered about 400,000 vehicles.

As the electrification phase of intelligent connected vehicles has largely been completed, the intelligentization phase is now steadily advancing, with a wave of innovative smart technologies redefining what cars are, how they're made, how they're sold, and how users experience them, Lei said.

Lei also emphasized that the entire industry should, under government guidance, concentrate resources and energy on technological innovation and R&D in key foundational technologies and critical research areas, while resisting online trolls, malicious PR, and other disruptive online behaviors.
