In September 2025, the national consumer price index (CPI) of China fell by 0.3% YoY, more than the market expectation of a 0.2% decline, data released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed. Among them, urban areas saw a dip of 0.2%, while rural areas sank 0.5%. Food prices faded 4.4%, whereas non-food prices added 0.7%. Consumer goods prices lost 0.8%, and service prices hiked 0.6%.
