As of 9 PM yesterday (8th), the total box office for the 2025 National Day film period whopped RMB1.83 billion, with approximately 49.96 million viewers and over 3.64 million screenings, piaofang.taopiaopiao.com reported.

This year's National Day period lasted eight days, with an adequate supply of films and diverse themes, providing audiences with a variety of viewing options, as China Securities Journal reported, citing industry insiders.

As of now, the total box office for mainland films in 2025 has already excelled last year's total, and with many popular films still to be released in the fourth quarter, the annual total box office is projected to hit RMB50 billion, report told.
