Starting 12 August, BABA-W (09988.HK)  +5.500 (+4.173%)    Short selling $3.74B; Ratio 18.607%   's Taobao launched a limited-time 'zero threshold' free shipping offer for single item to self pick-up sites in Hong Kong.

Consumer response has been enthusiastic, with the number of users enjoying free shipping nearly doubling since the offer was introduced, indicating that the offer effectively satisfies consumer demand, Taobao Hong Kong said. As a result, Taobao Hong Kong decided to extend the offer.

Taobao Hong Kong also announced the launch of the Super 88 Mid-Year Festival, with the pre-sale period starting from 8 pm today (5th) to 10:59 pm on Sunday (7th). The official sales period will begin at 00:00 next Monday (8th) and end at 11:59 pm on 14 September.

The event will provide local consumers with a valuable shopping experience across a diverse range of categories, including school supplies, as the community prepares for the back-to-school season and the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Taobao Hong Kong added.
