In wake of the unexpected increase in US crude oil inventory last week, investors awaited the OPEC+ meeting this weekend, where oil-producing countries were expected to consider raising production targets again. Oil prices sagged about 1% further on Thursday to a two-week low.

New York crude oil futures for October delivery fell US$0.49 or 0.8% to US$63.48. Brent crude oil futures for November delivery sank US$0.61 or 0.9% to US$66.99.
