The market focus was on the official employment data to be released on Friday, with US stocks opening lower on Thursday but closing higher. The DJIA spiked 350 points or 0.8% for the day, closing at 45,621. The S&P 500 closed up 53 points or 0.8%, at 6,502, setting a new record high. The Nasdaq also soared 209 points or 1%, closing at 21,707.

Individual techs advanced, with Amazon (AMZN.US)      swelling 4.3%. Meta (META.US)      and Tesla (TSLA.US)      both rose over 1%, while Apple (AAPL.US)      and Nvidia (NVDA.US)      each gained 0.6%. Cloud software company Salesforce (CRM.US)      saw its stock slid 4.9% after disappointing 3Q revenue guidance.
