Markets were on the sideline for Nvidia's upcoming quarterly earnings release and the U.S. PCE inflation data later this week. Hong Kong bourse followed softer global cues, with the HSI opening 115 points lower. It eventually closed at the day's low of 25,524, down 304 points, or 1.2%. The HSCEI dipped 99 points, or 1.1%, to 9,148, while the HSTECH subtracted 42 points, or 0.7%, to 5,782. Full-day market turnover reached HK$317.871 billion.
