With losses sharpened in the afternoon, the stock last traded at HKD116, down 5.61%. Trading volume reached 1.7559 million shares, with a turnover of HKD209 million.

The bank reported 1H25 PBT of HKD8.097 billion, down 28.4% YoY, and net profit of HKD6.88 billion, a 30.5% YoY decline, falling short of the HKD7.692-8.3 billion range forecasted by three brokerages as compiled by our reporters. EPS equaled HKD3.34.
