The Fortune Global 500 list was released, with 2025 companies on the list recording a total revenue of about US$41.7 trillion, exceeding one-third of the global GDP, up about 1.8% YoY.

Walmart (WMT.US)      has been the world's largest company for 12 consecutive years, with Amazon.com (AMZN.US)      maintaining the second position.

In 2024, the overall profit of the 500 companies continued to grow, with total profits reaching the second highest in history at nearly US$3 trillion. Despite an about 13% YoY drop in profit, Saudi Aramco remained the most profitable firm with a profit of about US$105 billion.

Alphabet (GOOG.US)      , the parent company of Google, ranked second on the profit list, surpassing Apple (AAPL.US)      to become the most profitable tech firm globally. Nvidia (NVDA.US)      saw its profit grow by approx. 145% YoY, entering the top 10 of the profit list for the first time, ranking 6th.

Three other US tech companies, naming Microsoft (MSFT.US)      , Meta (META.US)      and Amazon.com ranked 5th, 7th and 8th on the profit list, respectively.
