Global autonomous driving technology company, WeRide (WRD.US)      , and Uber (UBER.US)      announced a collaboration with the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) to officially launch Robotaxi services on Al Reem Island and Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi.

The expansion of the Robotaxi service area is expected to double the order volume, with the service area now covering nearly half of Abu Dhabi's core regions, including Al Reem Island, Al Maryah Island, Yas Island, Saadiyat Island and the highway route to and from Zayed International Airport, WeRide said.
