The economic and trade teams of China and the US held a new round of trade talks in Stockholm last night (29th), according to Xinhua News Agency.

Li Chenggang, China's international trade representative and Vice Minister of Commerce, told the media after the meeting that, according to the consensus of the new round of China-US trade talks, both sides will continue to advance the 24% suspended reciprocal tariffs by the US and the extension of China's countermeasures as scheduled.

Both China and the US are implementing the important consensus reached during the call between the two countries' leaders on 5 June, fully utilizing the China-US economic and trade consultation mechanism to conduct frank, in-depth and constructive exchanges on significant economic and trade issues of mutual concern, Li added.

Both sides fully recognized the importance of maintaining a stable and healthy China-US economic and trade relationship.
