TENCENT (00700.HK)  -15.000 (-2.727%)    Short selling $1.95B; Ratio 16.927%   holds shares in WeBank, under which WeBank Technology joins the operation of the “Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cross-Border Data Verification Platform (DVP)”.

The platform, unveiled at the Data Summit, serves as the first cross-border data verification service interfacing with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)'s “Commercial Data Interchange (CDI)”. It officially provides local institutions with secure, efficient, and reliable cross-border data verification services.

Yao Huiya, Head of Digital Finance Development at WeBank, stated that DVP has by far served over 10 institutions, widely applied in scenarios such as corporate cross-border credit and financing.

In the future, the DVP platform will connect with more diverse data sources to further promote interconnectivity within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
