Investors digested the US-EU trade agreement while awaiting this week's Federal Reserve meeting and economic data, leading to US stocks in range-bound on Monday.

The S&P 500 edged up 1 point, closing at 6,389. The Nasdaq added by 70 points or 0.3%, closing at 21,178. The DJIA closed down 64 points or 0.1%, at 44,837.

Tesla (TSLA.US)      soared 3% as the company confirmed a US$16.5 billion chip contract with Samsung Electronics. Nvidia (NVDA.US)      climbed 1.9%.

Several major techs will announce their quarterly results this week, with Meta (META.US)      and Microsoft (MSFT.US)      on Wednesday, and Amazon (AMZN.US)      and Apple (AAPL.US)      on Thursday.
