The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) is in talks with NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK)  +0.070 (+1.087%)    Short selling $24.79M; Ratio 24.210%   , considering finding a new partner to undertake and complete the 11 SKIES project, with the financial terms being still under negotiation, reported the South China Morning Post.

The discussions reportedly focus on the retail, dining, and entertainment areas of 11 SKIES, while the three office towers are not part of the discussions, sources divulged.

An AAHK spokesperson responded that they are confident in the development of the "Airport City", having maintained close communication with NWD on the 11 SKIES project.

The discussions are positive with good progress, the spokesman added, and the AAHK continues to aim for a phased opening of the 11 SKIES facilities starting mid-2026.
