The HSI settled at 25,388, down 278 points or 1.1%. The HSCEI closed at 9,150, down 107 points or nearly 1.2%. The HSTECH dipped 65 points or 1.1% to 5,677. Total market turnover was HKD281.77 billion. For the week, the HSI amassed gains of 562 points or nearly 2.3%.

The “ATMXJ” tech heavyweights (Alibaba, Tencent, Meituan, Xiaomi, and JD.com) were meager. TENCENT (00700.HK)  +1.500 (+0.273%)    Short selling $832.51M; Ratio 14.699%   fell 1.2%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)  -1.650 (-3.014%)    Short selling $476.22M; Ratio 8.148%   , BABA-W (09988.HK)  -1.300 (-1.110%)    Short selling $1.48B; Ratio 23.102%   , and JD-SW (09618.HK)  -3.500 (-2.758%)    Short selling $227.76M; Ratio 24.202%   dropped 1.8-2.1%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK)  -6.500 (-5.102%)    Short selling $2.45B; Ratio 35.162%   slid 3.2%. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK)  +4.400 (+6.077%)    Short selling $901.34M; Ratio 21.115%   was the worst-performing blue-chip, diving 4.9% to HKD72.5. Meituan recently held a food delivery industry meeting in Shanghai, where merchants expressed concerns about being forced into a price war.

BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)  -4.800 (-3.970%)    Short selling $294.62M; Ratio 8.285%   and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK)  -0.800 (-0.766%)    Short selling $394.99M; Ratio 29.312%   shed 1.6-1.9%. GAC GROUP (02238.HK)  -0.100 (-3.030%)    Short selling $11.10M; Ratio 17.796%   and XPENG-W (09868.HK)  +0.550 (+0.779%)    Short selling $113.28M; Ratio 23.257%   sank 0.8-0.9%. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK)  -1.750 (-2.834%)    Short selling $11.27M; Ratio 8.519%   and GEELY AUTO (00175.HK)  -0.720 (-3.926%)    Short selling $110.55M; Ratio 15.713%   lifted 1.6-1.7%. GWMOTOR (02333.HK)  -0.540 (-4.060%)    Short selling $11.83M; Ratio 5.783%   inched up 0.3%. Auto dealer ZHONGSHENG HLDG (00881.HK)  -0.620 (-4.448%)    Short selling $38.06M; Ratio 51.987%   , which surged in recent days, closed down 1.4%.

CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK)  -1.050 (-1.998%)    Short selling $14.40M; Ratio 8.848%   , which closed up 2.2%, is in exclusive negotiations to sell its port business, with a deadline set for Sunday (27th), Reuters, citing sources, reported. However, the deadline may be extended, and ongoing political complexities make it unlikely for the deal to conclude in the near term.

The Airport Authority Hong Kong is in talks with NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK)  -0.080 (-1.231%)    Short selling $15.88M; Ratio 27.810%   , which closed down 1.8%, as it considers finding a new partner to take over and complete the “11 Skies” project, the South China Morning Post, citing sources, reported. The relevant financial terms are still under negotiation.
