Nvidia (NVDA.US)      responded to reports that at least US$1 billion worth of its AI chips illegally entered China emphasizing that building data centers with smuggled chips is a practice that loss outweighs the gain. The Company stressed that data centers require services and support, which are only provided for authorized Nvidia products.

Nvidia chips valued at least US$1 billion have been illegally smuggled into China, with its B200 chips, banned from sale to China, becoming active on the black market, according to the Financial Times.
