Regarding issues related to the hydropower project in Tibet, Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), said during a regular press conference that China is cooperating with relevant downstream countries on hydrological reporting, flood prevention, and disaster reduction.

Guo also stressed that China, while already engaging in necessary communication with downstream countries regarding the hydropower project on the Yarlung Tsangpo river, will continue to fortify cooperation with them to benefit the people of the river basin.
