Wang Qiang, Director of the traffic management bureau of China's Ministry of Public Security, said at the State Council Information Office's press conference on the 'High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan' series that the 'intelligent driving' systems currently equipped in vehicles on the market have not yet achieved the goal of 'autonomous driving.'

The driver remains the ultimate responsible party. If a driver drives a vehicle with 'hands and eyes off', he will not only be exposed to serious road safety risks, but also to the triple legal risks of civil compensation, administrative penalties and criminal liability. In response, public security authorities will collaborate with relevant departments to further strengthen regulatory management.
