US President Donald Trump announced that a trade agreement has been reached with Japan, under which the US will impose a 15% tariff on imported products from Japan, while Japan will invest US$550 billion in the US.

The agreement will require Japan to open its markets, allowing the import of American autos and other agricultural products, but he did not give further details, Trump added.
