A meeting to promote high-quality development in Tibet with the support of central SOEs was recently held in Lhasa, where 16 central SOEs signed 75 industrial project investment agreements with the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Zhang Zhiyong, Chairman of CHINA TOWER (00788.HK)  +0.020 (+0.170%)    Short selling $28.63M; Ratio 16.406%   , attended the meeting, and entered into a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the company with the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Pursuant to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in 7 areas, including construction of special projects such as 'extending of broadband coverage to all border areas' and 'signal strength upgrade', major project guarantee, smart tower and energy business development.
