In an exclusive interview with CCTV, Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia (NVDA.US)      , stated that Mainland China is a unique market with dynamic and innovative engineers. The number of computer scientists in the mainland is among the highest globally, comparable only to the US, and the scale of end consumers is humungous.

China is not an ordinary market but a very unique one, Huang emphasized. Nvidia has been developing in China for 30 years, even before most high-tech companies entered the country. At that time, only LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK)  0.000 (0.000%)    Short selling $37.85M; Ratio 24.079%   and GWMOTOR (02333.HK)  -0.060 (-0.451%)    Short selling $6.77M; Ratio 7.861%   (601633.SH)  -0.010 (-0.045%)   were technology companies in the mainland.

As a technology supplier, Nvidia needs customers, and the mainland market is very unique and should not be underestimated, Huang said, admitting that the unexpected consequences and long-term impacts of not participating in the market are difficult to predict, while assuming the outcome will not be optimistic.
