Over the past week, it has been incompletely counted that catering associations in more than 10 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions, including Hubei, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Fujian, Shandong, Guangxi, Shanxi, Xinjiang, Beijing, Qingdao, Dalian, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Chongqing, Datong, Zunyi, Jinan, and Luoyang, have issued proposals urging BABA-W's (09988.HK)  -1.400 (-1.164%)    Short selling $869.49M; Ratio 9.268%   (BABA.US)      Taobao Instant Commerce and Ele.me, MEITUAN-W (03690.HK)  -1.700 (-1.265%)    Short selling $1.15B; Ratio 15.125%   (MPNGY.US)      , as well as JD-SW (09618.HK)  -1.800 (-1.350%)    Short selling $470.92M; Ratio 22.711%   (JD.US)      to stop "involutionary" competition, Chinese media repoted.

Specifically, those associations called for an immediate end to irrational subsidies and activities subsidizing below-cost prices. It also encouraged food delivery giants to prohibit forced subsidy allocations, shift towards high-quality development, and clarify subsidy limits and account period guarantees.
