Wei Wei, Director of the Department of Science and Technology at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), said in his speech at the 2025 High-Level Seminar on Collaborative Innovation of AI Software and Hardware and the 15th General Assembly of the Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance that Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area is making every effort to build a city fully powered by AI.

By establishing China's first AI data training base and Beijing's largest public computing power platform, rolling out special policies such as the "AI 20 Measures" and "Data 20 Measures", as well as launching over RMB1 billion in dedicated industry funds, Beijing aims to support and nurture major projects in foundational chips, servers, software frameworks, industry models, and data governance.
