The Ministry of State Security of China (MSS) said via its WeChat official account that a certain country could not independently produce and refine rare metals. However, to ensure its domestic rare metal supply, it has been stockpiling through various channels and methods.

Upon obtaining conclusive evidence, state security agencies, in conjunction with relevant departments, took legal action to cut off the illegal export channels of rare earth-related items, effectively safeguarding China's resource security and national security.
