The number of online transactions for first-hand homes in Guangzhou reached a yearly high of 6,796 units in June 2025, according to the latest data released by Guangzhou's official real estate information website. In 1H25, the real estate market in Guangzhou saw 32,861 new home transactions, up nearly 17% YoY.

The sharp rise in new home transactions in Guangzhou in June was mainly due to the use of special loans to purchase existing commercial housing for resettlement purposes or to support "housing voucher resettlement", said Li Yujia, the chief researcher at the Guangdong Housing Policy Research Center
