Photovoltaic-related stocks ascended this morning. XINYI SOLAR (00968.HK)  +0.100 (+3.521%)    Short selling $87.31M; Ratio 15.799%   once swelled 6.7% to a high of $3.03 during the intraday trading session, and last leaped 4.6% to $2.97. XINTE ENERGY (01799.HK)  +0.480 (+7.583%)    Short selling $9.46M; Ratio 17.996%   advanced 5.7%, while XINYI GLASS (00868.HK)  +0.320 (+3.917%)    Short selling $47.97M; Ratio 25.736%   gained 0.6%. FLAT GLASS (06865.HK)  +0.140 (+1.321%)    Short selling $22.34M; Ratio 12.184%   mounted 3.4% to $10.96.

Several Chinese companies raised silicon wafer prices, with price increases ranging from 8-11.7% for different sizes of wafers, Guosen Securities issued a research report saying.

Furthermore, according to data, polysilicon prices significantly increased by 25-35% this week, with the price range per ton rising to RMB45,000 to RMB50,000.

The transaction price for dense materials per ton rose to RMB37,000, but new order volumes remained limited, with the average transaction price this week at RMB34,000 per ton, up 6.5% WoW.
