U.S. President Donald Trump demanded that the Federal Reserve should cut interest rates by at least 3 ppts, reiterating his request for the Fed to reduce rates to help decrease debt obligations, foreign news media broke. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, he stated that the federal funds rate is excessively high by at least 3 ppts.
