In the letters sent to 14 countries (including Japan and South Korea) on tariff policies, US President Donald Trump announced the new tariffs of 25%-40% and the extension of the implementation date of reciprocal tariffs to August 1.

The tariffs, as Citi said in its report, are expected to have a greater impact on apparel and footwear businesses as they have significant production facilities in ASEAN.
