The summer travel peak season has arrived, and many people in mainland China are choosing to travel abroad.

Based on the latest data, the international aviation market during the 2025 summer rush period is expected to recover to about 90% of the level seen in the same period in 2019, according to CCTV. Of which, East Asia remains a popular international destination. With the increase in outbound flights, international airfare prices decreased this summer.

The average payment price for international air tickets dropped by 15% YoY up to now, the report quoted a researcher from a ticket booking platform's big data research institute as saying. Of which, airfares in Canada, Korea, Japan, Egypt and Sweden declined the most by nearly 20%.
