Microsoft (MSFT.US)      is currently revising its internal roadmap for AI server chip R&D to scale back some designs and extend the timeline for other AI chips under development, according to IT news media The Information.

It is understood that Microsoft has set its mind on launching less ambitious designs by 2028, while maintaining competitiveness with Nvidia (NVDA.US)      's AI chips.
