The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has issued an urgent notice regarding multiple incidents of power banks and other lithium battery products carried by passengers catching fire or emitting smoke on flights since the beginning of this year.

According to the notice, passengers will be prohibited starting this Saturday (28th) from bringing power banks that lack a 3C certification, have unclear 3C certification, or have previously been recalled on domestic flights.
