For the 2024/25 fiscal year ended March , the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) turned loss into a profit, recording a surplus of $241 million, compared to a loss of $298 million in the previous fiscal year, according to the annual report of the SFC.

Income amounted to $2.574 billion, up approx. 40% YoY, with levies accounting for 86.2%, and fees & charges and investment income accounting for 6.4% and 7.4% respectively.

As of the end of March, Southbound Stock Connect net inflow surged to an annual high of $1.11 trillion, while average daily southbound trading increased 1.29x YoY to $67.5 billion, accounting for 20% of market turnover in Hong Kong, up 5 ppts YoY, and marking an annual record high.
