DBS Bank planned to hire 40 private bankers in Hong Kong and Singapore within the year, according to foreign media. Carol Wu, Head of Private Banking for North Asia at the Group, said that about half of the target personnel have already been hired. She noted that many investors from mainland China and Taiwan are currently seeking offshore wealth management opportunities to diversify their assets.In 5M25, the revenue of DBS Bank's Hong Kong private banking business has increased by nearly 30%, while assets under management grew by about 20% YoY, Wu added. Driven by capital inflows from mainland China and Taiwan, net new funds during the period surged by 1.3x YoY.
