State Grid General Manager Pang Xiaogang revealed today (24th) at the Tianjin Summer Davos Forum that the goal is to establish a preliminary national unified electricity market within this year.

As part of this initiative, State Grid is currently in the design phase. Once completed, it is expected to facilitate real-time inter-provincial electricity trading, which should be conducive to the use of renewable energy.
