Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has just confirmed a ceasefire with Iran, ending the ‘12 Day War’.

Israel has decided to go to war with Iran last year, long before US President Donald Trump began working on a negotiated solution to the Iranian nuclear issue, the Washington Post quoted current and former Israeli officials as saying.

However, the report quoted senior Israeli officials as saying privately that, as early as March, i.e., weeks before the US-Israeli heads of state met at the White House on 7 April, they had already decided that an attack on Iran would be necessary by the end of June at the latest, regardless of US participation in the war, as Iran would likely rebuild its air defenses capability in 2H25.
